On September 19–21, the fourth annual CARDEX & IT SECURITY International Exhibition and Conference—“Smart Cards and IT Security Systems”—was held in Moscow. Its participants were leading companies in the field of plastic card manufacture and printing security technologies. Companies from Russia, the UK, Germany, Italy, China, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ukraine, and other countries had three days to demonstrate their achievements and developments to each other and to the exhibition’s guests.

The EDAPS Consortium was one was the most noticeable CARDEX & IT SECURITY participants. The EDAPS booth was recognized as the show’s most informative display and awarded a special certificate.

The Consortium’s specialists presented their most advanced developments in the field of plastic card manufacture and printing security. They showed samples of identification documents such as travel passports, driver’s licenses, and vehicle registrations, which were manufactured with state-of-the-art technologies and equipped with the most modern security elements.

Znak, a Consortium Company, demonstrated to the exhibition’s participants and visitors a full spectrum of their products, ranging from plastic payment cards to ID blanks.

The new generation of Ukrainian travel passport, which was developed by the Consortium, attracted the greatest interest of participants and visitors to the exhibition. This passport has been recognized as one of the world’s best five passports! The crown jewel of the EDAPS exhibit was the prototype of the Ukrainian citizen’s electronic passport. The electronic “filling” was developed by the team at VTI, Inc. (also an EDAPS company) and conforms to all of the standards for international electronic travel documents.

International forums such as CARDEX & IT SECURITY give specialists from various countries an opportunity to discuss the industry’s salient issues and share their latest achievements. Znak’s Commercial Director Aleksandr Fomenko said, “The EDAPS Consortium’s production stimulated the participants’ and visitors’ keen interest. This was no surprise to us, since in Moscow we presented the very advanced technologies and the highest-quality products manufactured by our companies. The Expo gave us the opportunity to develop relationships with new clients.”
